The challenge

Volt was launching into a crowded micro-mobility market where every brand looked like a battery-charge icon. They needed an identity that felt fast, civic, and unmistakable from across a street — at speed.

The concept

The whole system is built from a single charged stroke — a “volt” that bends through the wordmark, the app, and the bike livery. A near-black base with one electric accent keeps it visible at 30km/h and at 14px.

The outcome

Volt’s livery became its own out-of-home campaign. App store rating held high through launch, and the city expanded the pilot to three more districts.

“The livery is the campaign now. People recognise us from a block away. The system held from the icon to the bike.”
