BrandIdentity &Type.
Loud where it counts. Quiet everywhere else. Most brands are loud in all the wrong places and silent where it matters. We invert that: a sharp idea, a confident mark, a type system that does the talking — and the discipline to leave the rest alone.
An index of recent identities.
02 — What we do
We build identity systems — strategy, marks, type, and the rules that hold them together — for founders who refuse to blend in.
Six things, done properly.
Brand Identity & Strategy
The whole system — positioning, naming territory, the idea, and the visual language that carries it across everything.
Logo & Marks
A single, considered mark — drawn, not generated. Construction, lockups, clear-space, and the variations a real brand needs.
Typeface & Lettering
Custom letterforms and bespoke type — a display face, a wordmark drawn by hand, or a small working family that only you own.
Packaging & Print
Where the brand becomes an object — structural and surface design for packaging, plus editorial and print that feel made, not laid out.
Web & UI
The brand, in motion. Art-directed site design and product UI that extend the identity into a screen people actually use.
Art Direction
Ongoing eyes on the brand — campaigns, photography, illustration commissioning, and keeping a growing team on-system.
A clear, four-phase method.
Define
A deep read of you, your market, and the gap. We agree the idea before a single thing gets drawn — strategy, positioning, and what “winning” looks like.
Draw
Directions, not options-for-the-sake-of-it. Two or three sharp, fully-considered routes — then we commit to one and build it into a system.
Build
The system gets made: marks, type, colour, and the applications that prove it works — packaging, web, print, motion. Tested in the real world, not on a moodboard.
Hand off
Guidelines, source files, and a walkthrough so your team can run it without me in the room. Usage rights are yours, fully and forever.
A logo is the smallest part of a brand. We design the system that makes the logo make sense.
Strong opinions, loosely held. We’ll argue for the right answer — and change our mind when you’re right.
Restraint is a feature. Knowing what to leave out is most of the job.
Built to be run by you. A system you can’t use is just expensive decoration.
What founders say.
Marlowe didn’t give us a logo, they gave us a language. We can launch a new product now and it just looks like Halcyon — no committee required.
The bag became our best salesperson. Wholesale doubled and we didn’t change the coffee — we changed how it looks on a shelf.
Our LPs told us the brand finally matches the work. That sentence alone paid for the project. Calm, sharp, exactly on brief.
